Kris Skavish
Kris Skavish has focused on the needs of local business advertisers for more than ten years. As a partner in Two Octobers, she helps businesses incorporate social media and web publishing into a profitable plan for growth. She most recently worked as VP Products & Marketing at Local Matters, the leading provider of local search and advertising solutions to online media publishers. Prior to that, she was a member of the leadership teams of Jabber, Inc. and Webb Interactive.
Highlights from Kris’s marketing and publishing experience include:
- Developed multimedia promotional experiences to promote brands such as Quark and Patagonia.
- Oversaw product marketing for numerous successful internet products, including the messaging toolset Jabber and the Destination Search local search platform.
- Led the launch and growth of the social guides community Guidespot.com.
- Managed marketing and publishing activities for a network of over 200 geographic portals including Texas.com, California.com, Areaguides.net and the Fox Local Network.
