TO Explorer Calculated Field Builder

  1. Paste in the New Explorer Data Studio Report URL: (required)
    example: https://datastudio.google.com/u/0/reporting/xxxxxx-31cb-4xxxx-9acf-xxxxxxxx4847/page/q8oSC/edit

  2. Hit the 'Tab' key

  1. Click 'copy root code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _ROOT datasource called: 'topic explorer link' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to switch from the Root Queries Page to the Topic Explorer Page.
  2. Click 'copy trending code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _TRENDING datasource called: 'topic explorer link' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to switch from the Trending Queries Page to the Topic Explorer Page.
  3. Click 'copy trending pages code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _TRENDING_PAGES datasource called: 'page explorer link' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to switch from the Trending Pages Page to the Topic Explorer Page.
  4. Click 'copy check serps code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _PAGE datasource called: 'check serps' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to look in the serps for this particular query.
  5. Click 'copy image serps code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _PAGE datasource called: 'check image serps' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to look in the images tab of google search results for this particular query.
  6. Click 'copy quora code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _PAGE datasource called: 'Q' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to look in Quora for how folks talk about this query.
  7. Click 'copy reddit code' button above. Create a new calculated field in the _PAGE datasource called: 'R' and paste the code into the field's textarea. Click Save.
    This field will allow you to look in Reddit for how folks talk about this query.
