Two Octobers Wins Workforce Award

We’re honored to have won the Transformer award, “awarded for transforming systems to adapt to the demanding and changing needs of the workforce landscape,” at the Denver Workforce Services Partner Appreciation luncheon recently. As a small company making an investment in apprenticeship, it was nice to be recognized along with other nominees that day like Amazon, Lockheed Martin, and Centura, as well as fellow B Corp, Namaste Solar.

We created a registered apprenticeship program in digital marketing as a way of bringing new, diverse team members into our industry. When you work with Two Octobers, you’re supporting this initiative too. Registered apprenticeship, in conjunction with our partnership with local workforce services organizations, helps us bring in team members from non-traditional backgrounds, without college degrees, eliminating roadblocks to a growing and sought-after career.

We’d love to help other marketing organizations hire digital marketing apprentices. Learn more about why we developed the program, and what it looks like for an employer.

Lastly, we have been thrilled with the support we’ve gotten for developing and staffing this program from Denver Workforce Services. Your county’s workforce service office is the biggest uncovered gem you have as an equitable resourcing partner–look them up!
