This policy describes how we handle personal data through our website and marketing activities. Our internal Treeline Intelligence application is covered by a separate Treeline Intelligence Privacy Notice.
What we collect and why.
- Information you submit. When you fill out a contact or subscription form, we collect the details you provide (such as name, email, company, and your message) to respond to you and if you’ve opted in, to send marketing communications.
- Comments. If you comment on the site, we collect the comment content, your name/email, IP address, and browser user-agent string to help detect spam.
- Cookies. Comment convenience cookies are retained for up to one year; if you log in, session and preference cookies last 2 days (or 2 weeks with “Remember Me”). You can clear or block cookies in your browser.
- Embedded content. Pages may include embedded content (e.g., videos, social posts). These behave as if you visited the third party’s site directly and may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction per their own policies.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage. If you opt out of tracking via our consent banner, no data associated with your visit is retained.
Who we share data with. We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate our website and marketing, under contracts that limit their use of the data, including: blacktape.io (hosting provider), Active Campaigns, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law.
What third parties we receive data from. We do not receive personal data about you from third parties.
How long we retain your data. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize follow-up comments. For form submissions and marketing contacts, we retain data until you ask us to remove it or unsubscribe.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]; you can also unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email. If you left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data or that we erase it (this excludes data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes).
How we protect your data. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls limiting data to authorized personnel — to protect personal data.
Data breach procedures. If we become aware of a breach affecting personal data, we will investigate and notify affected individuals and applicable authorities as required by law.
Automated decision-making and profiling. We do not make automated decisions or profile users in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
