There are dozens of specific disciplines within digital marketing to focus on, including social media, website design and development, paid media marketing, search engine and AI optimization, marketing operations, and analytics.

What is the apprenticeship program like at Two Octobers?

  • The apprenticeship is a full-time paid job, with full benefits.
  • The apprenticeship is expected to take about one year, based on demonstration of a list of competencies and related instruction. 
  • We provide extensive on-the-job training for the duration of the apprenticeship. Apprentices are also required to do some online coursework.
  • The apprenticeship is open to anyone 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED. We do not require specific work experience or post-high-school education.
  • Our goal is to equip you for an in-demand job after your apprenticeship is completed.

Marketing Data Analyst Apprenticeship

In today’s marketing, data is the foundation of every decision we make. Data about campaign performance, website usage, email open rates, and social engagement help marketers understand their target audience better, optimize marketing campaigns, and make budget decisions that help companies get new customers and grow revenue.

The Marketing Data Analyst Apprentice grows skills in data collection, augmentation, and presentation as well as structured technical problem-solving. The apprentice will build foundational data analysis capabilities using spreadsheets and AI tools to clean, interpret, and summarize datasets while linking insights to business objectives. Additionally, the apprentice assists in creating reports and dashboards, implementing and troubleshooting Google Analytics tracking, and analyzing marketing campaign performance to provide optimization recommendations.

The Marketing Data Analyst Apprentice supports our delivery of digital marketing services while getting hands-on training that lays the foundation for growing skill sets with a future career in digital marketing. Apprentices work under experienced practitioners executing tasks, including data analysis and interpretation, reporting, and Google Analytics implementation and troubleshooting, and administrative support.

There will be on-the-job training throughout the apprenticeship, in addition to real work on live marketing campaigns. 

The three ingredients of a Registered Apprenticeship are:

  1. On-the-job training – this is mixed in with regular work. Early on in the apprenticeship, there will be a lot of on-the-job training. Towards the end of the apprenticeship, there will be less.
  2. Related instruction – online third-party training provides some of the background knowledge and skills required for success. 
  3. Work – this is what sets the apprenticeship apart from getting a degree or certificate in digital marketing. The apprentice will be applying what they learn to real work throughout the apprenticeship.
